So ya, just this past Saturday night I'm cruizing up and down our main drag (gaetz Ave, in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada).. I just get through down town when I notice this truck tailing close and keeping up with me!! I'm like ok no way I'm going to race him but I get the sense he wants to go.. He pulls up one lane over from me on my right..
The light turns green and well we go... Vroooooooom, now gaetz heading north after you leave the centre of town is a very nice one way stretch of road but the po po like to sit at the top of the hill and nail you good, but not tonight!! So were going, he gets on my ass but dies off slowly I have no sense of time etc I'm just watching his headlights in my rear view mirror..
Well we pull in to a local Mac's store lot and we get to wondering wtf happened? How did a little 2.4L beat a 2500series Dodge Pickup with a stage one upgrade thing get beat?
He tells me he's hauling fuel in one of those tanks that you use to fuel equipment in the field.. He thought I had a S/C SS cause I moved like I had one!! , no I tell him I guess I just knew how to drive tonight.. He was very impressed that Chevy put out a little car like this and never knew that they were that quik? Now this guy also eats the new Mustang GT's on a regular basis and Ford trucks, he knew his **** and was very impressed..

Soo all you N/A SS owners be proud of your car, I know I am!!

 

Impressive. However keep in mind. Trucks are torque monsters. they can get up and go. However, due to theyre boxy design, and low rear ends...they are not fast due to Wind Resistance, and like i said..low rear ends.


Get up and go..Yes.
Get up and stay up...no.
