my review on the cobalt(2.2)

the good:
- AWESOME styling. i LOVE the 2 doors. mostly the tails though. best taillights ever.
-decent power
-the 'wtf is that' look i get when its debadged...not as much as my focus hatch though.multiple people said 'hey nice volkswagen' to me ..lol.
- the shifter, i really like it, feels a lot better than any other 5 speeds i've driven(civic, ford zx2)

the bad:
- low end torque maybe its just my 17s, but its slow starting off, after i get rolling tho, it gets going and keeps going through the gears.
- window/trunk positioning, hard to see out the back window sometimes..
-those damn a pillar blindspots...maybe its justme?
-positioning of the DIC controls*fixed in 07, moved to steering wheel*

the ugly!:
- TORQUE STEER OMG maybe i'm just the worst driver ever, but this thing torque steers like a ****. more than any car i've ever driven. maybe i just have shitty tires.

Many more positives than negatives in my book, couldnt have asked for a better base model car to start making my own!

I've never had a vision issue in the balt. A pillars dont get in my way and the rear window is tinted 5% so what little I can see out it dosent matter anyways.

Try a 2001+ Impala. Those A-pillars are monsters compared to the Cobalts.

I owned a Cavalier before this car. I could not believe how much better the Cobalt was.
The doors open a full 90 degrees.
An actual, solid dead pedal.
Much better gauge cluster
On-Star is the ****, LOVE that built in cell phone.
Leather Heated seats are the bomb.
QUIET!
Factory installed Pioneer speaker with sub, just awesome.

i have no issues with seeing out the front... the back could be better, but looks sometime outweigh such things
