Cool RPM Up and Down on Rev

Ok, I may be making a big deal over nothing, which i hope is the case.

When Im out of gear, e brake on in my 06 SS/SC, and I rev it to about 3500 rpm and let off the gas, the rpms drop to about 1200, rev back up to 1500 or so, and then back to the idle at 800. (note that when it goes up and down, my foot is not on or near the gas, engine does it on its own)

Any idea guys?

My car has done that since the day I bought it. Even after stage 4 and tune still does it. I'm thinking its a cobalt thing but if anyone has any info, I would like to know also.

at first i thought it might be residual pressure in the manifold causing the comp to go cuckoo but im not too familiar with how EMS work so i may be wrong

When I start my 2.2 (warm or cold) my rpms drop to 600, rise to like 1500 then dip again and rise again and then settle at about 950 and slowly drop to 800... did that since the day I got it... didn't think it was hurting anything so I jus let it ride...

This is normal. My car's RPMs jump around a bit whenever I give it some gas then let off. I think at least all the SS/SC have this. It is not as bad as long as you have the latest ECU flash - that helped mine alot.

It is the car trying to burn all the fuel you dump into the motor when you rev it like that. It's for emissions, and its only possible because of the electronic throttle control. Normal operation, so don't bother with it. It is kinda funny though.
