first oil change after 2000km??

i was told by a friend of mine that owns a c6 corvette that chevy told him that all thier vehicles should have there first oil change after 2000km is this true? im just wondering cause ill be at that mileage in about a week or so. also do you guys use synthetic oil for better performance or just regular, im just curious to know if it makes that much of a difference between the two oils.

I changed mine at 1800km. Gets rid of crap like metal shavings that come from the factory...
By the way, your title says 200km, not 2000km

A must!
When you buy high or "higher" performance you have to do the extras and take care of it. That means synthetic oil, higher octane gas, and of course....... lots of WAXing

I changed my oil at 6000 miles. I used Royal Purple 5w 30 Synthetic Oil. Car accually gainned a few HP by using the Stuff and it runs alot cooler too.

Car comes from factory with Moble 1 already which is fine.

But Royal Purple all the way. Its the Same Price as the Moble 1 but it gives you a performance boost also.

Talking from experience here. I use this oil in all of my Cars.
