SS Seats

I just checked ebay and they had Cobalt SS seats on an auction... they were the red inserts (boo to that) and like $320 + 120 s&h. If only there were blue inserts... grrrr If I went to the dealer would they be able to order the SS seats? I bet that would cost an arm and a leg...but I remember hearing of people having them order replacement door panels, so i wonder... I love my LS... but the SS interior is hot

I loaded my LS including the leather seats and couldn't be happier with them. I've considered getting LS emboridered in the back similar to the SS but I'm not sure they can ship SS seats without SS embroidered in them in which case your LS interior look a little bizarre .

Yea I thought about that... but i dont really care... I really like the blue inserts on the seats. I wonder if I have any options (i.e. auto upholstery shop) that can do the trick?

Here's a partial answer to the question about replacing the interior of a 2.2 Cobalt for that of a SS

Q) Can I order the interior of an SS Cobalt to replace that in my LS?
A) I cataloged the interior door panels and seats. GM will only sell these complete seats to customers with a VIN that matches the part numbers due to safety reasons. (seat belt configuration etc). I have a call into GM for pricing and they are going to call me back, hopefully today. I will forward you the pricing as soon as they update me.

The door panels retail for $280.25 each and I would sell them for $210.19 plus any shipping and taxes.

I know they dont have the ss but it fits your car. So idk you culd always take them to a place and get them done for less than 100 dollars.

you could buy mine for 300 for the set and have the blue inserts done for cheaper than one seat cost
