well, I have hpt and am willing to trade a file (have 06 SS/sc stock, 06 ss/sc gm stage 2 tune, 04 ION stage 2 tune, 04 RL stock tune,01 cavalier s/c reflash) for an 05 SS/sc gm stage 2 tune.

Would be a great help!

MM.. does anybody know if the Operating systems between 05 and 06 ss/scs is the same or different?

So the stock 05 vs stock 06 is a different tune? I couldn't just compare the 05 stock to 06 stage 2 and change the differences then?

Yea you should be able to. I have a 2005 Red Line Stage tune I can send you, not sure if it is the same as the 2005 Cobalt though.
