i actually called the sevice dept today to find about exhausts...they said unless they can prove that what u put on caused something to break they have to warranty it....he said do whatever u want with the cat back or even headers and u will be fine.....just make usre the exaust oisnt bigger than 3 .... he also suggested going with the gmp headers just cuz it has the highest chance of causing probs and if its gm they wont do **** bout it..... he said hes wokred there 12 years and at dodge for 4 aND NEVER HEARD OF ANY AFTER MARKET items doing anything wrong.....he also suggested if anything did happen....have somebody switch out and put the stock parts back on and they wont be able to do anything and also injen air intakes cause the check engine to go on but can be fixed easily

if u look at the gmp its probably the best for the money and its thru gm so no worries on anything ewhatsoever with warranty.... its 400 so not too much....but the pacesetter by monza is only 200 for a catback

Yeah, I know that personally I am going to go with GMPP upgrades first before I do anything else, except maybe an Interceptor and a CAI. That way, youre protected for most everything (GMPP cat back, ex. manifold and stage2 will get you upwords of ~245 or so to the wheels I think... i may be wrong though, please dont flame me)

nah thats about right.
actually thats probably conservative.
250-255 is probably attainable with the full GMPP setup

Good Luck! :two thumbs

GM is barely warrantying GMPP Stage 2 on these cars, so be careful who you take it to.

I would say "some GM dealers" are barely warrantying.....
Meaning be careful who you deal with, which only makes sense.

Saying "GM is barely" is a bit harsh.
This horse has been beaten to death already anyway. its covered. but some dealers are cockbags, so as suggested.....be careful.

just a word of warning to anyone in the north east bringing their car in for service... make sure , even if its for an oil change, all aftermarket parts are off your car...
due to the large number of blown motors, clutches, axles and trannies up here.. all service techs are to thoroughly inspect each vehicle for any aftermarket parts and it will be logged with gm..
my friend spoke to the gm rep the other day.... not good news..
but on a funny note... He mentioned my car in particular as a warranty voider... hahaha I'm famous

Thats the best thing to do . I did it with mine when I bought it . I went an chatted with the service manager . They were really cool . They told me , intake , exhaust mods they will not pay attention to . GM staged kits are full warranty if they install , aftermarket pullies and pcm mods .....like you would expect , will void the portion of the warranty that they effect .

Like Ive said million ttimes on here , if your gonna add more power ....at the very least buy a torque brace or any of the many other ways to control wheel hop . Wheel hop can break an axle and if its done enuff can crack your tranmission case .

warranty issues b/c aftermarket parts ...

[I]Yeah GM is something else when it comes to the warranty thing. It took them a day to decide if they would warranty my transmission because I have a CAI and exhaust. I don't have a clue what those items have to do with a transmission but after putting up a fight I am getting a whole new transmission so ...[/I ]

Because any HP/TQ increase regardless of what is used to get the increase , effects the driveline .
