so i had a very close call tonight i went down to hwy.... witch if ur from se wisconsin that is the place to be if ur car is tight shit.. "mine is because its a cobalt" i lined up with a honda civic that was slammed down and had a huge fart can on the back " this car was ricey" the other car lined up next to me was a nissan setra spec v type r " it was a nice car im not going to hate on him" any who light turns green and i was the first off of it. we all where even for about half a block then the sentra and i pulled away on the honda " because it was a pile of shit" we stayed head to head for another few block then out of no wear a freakn suv pulls out in front of us. i look and saw the honda backed off and the guy in the setra screams down a gear i almost lock them up down shift and then switch in to the next lane all while praying to god that i make it though this in one piece so i can make my car payment next week... need less to say i feel i learned a lesson... soccer moms are totaly blind to street racing when they are on ther " fucking cell phonessssssssssssss" so we all pull up to the next light and talki about how we thought that this is going to be the "one time" we just may not make it. but i whent from 75 80 ish to a freakn crawl quick fast and in a hurry i think im going to drive like a grandma for now on...

yeah hwy 100 would be a crazy place to race just do to the fact that there is a lot of day to day drivers on it so its really only smart to race later at night but not really that smart to race because there are cops on it from time to time so you have to pick and choose when you race but i dont know how much hp those sentras have so they keep up pretty good then? i have a ss with stage 2 i wonder if they can keep up well later man sounds like u still saved your car and wouldnt be racing to much what kind of balt you got? well holla :twothumbs

Since god let you slide on this one you should drive slower, 80 in a 40 is a good way to end your life early. Keep it slow so people that like to drive the hwy at the speed limit can!

I'm guessing your 16-17ish and don't have an SS!!!!!

na im 18 and she was drinking and it wa like 11 at night she almost got hit crossing the street on the other side of the road.... nissan sentra claim to have 170 ish horse but its a lie motor trend dyno'd and they ony have 152 or something close to that at the wheel... so an ls can keep up to a novice driver in one. im sure an ss would walk away on it.. i think the new sentra spec v type r's are faster but the older ones are not as fast as they make them out to be. as far as the police go it seemed like a gost town but i think it is because its really kinda late in the year for the whole race scene.. " u know?"

i wish you would have lost control and hit a telephone pole, not killing yourself or hurting yourself, but wrecking your car, cuz you don't deserve to drive.

racing on city streets is stupid and pointless. and calling the person that is driving normal and idiot makes you a bigger idiot. learn from past mistakes on hwy. every year there is at least one innocent person that dies on highway cuz of morons like you.

i would take this one time as a sign from god to stop. next time you most likely won't be so lucky. you'll either kill someone and end up in jail for life, or be killed. not worth it in my opinion to be tough shit to a bunch of immature idiots.

in my opinion, anyone stupid enough to race on normal streets and then call normal drivers idiots cuz they almost plowed into that person going well over the speed limit, DOESN'T DESERVE TO DRIVE!

and quite frankly, you're down in FL, you don't have a clue what hwy 100 is like. its a bunch of idiotic teenagers driving like morons through a heavy populated area. if you were up this way and have seen/heard of how many innocent people have died because of idiots like the original poster in this thread, you'd have the same opinion as me. and if you didn't and thought it was still alrite, we'll your not worth the air your breath.

Yea, racing on hwy 100 isnt the greatest idea. I have done it many times, and I ended up getting pulled over for street racing this last July. $300 and 6 points. Plus, if you go to court, they will not reduce the ticket. I would still go down on sundays, but thats it. BTW, what kinda balt' are you drivin?

im not here to argue, just people with respect and dignity do not wish bad upon others. It is also not cool to tell other people they 'aren't worth the air they breath' just because they found you disrepectful and wishing harm on another. Harm isn't always physical. Oh, and I didn't say it was alright, but I do not have the right to talk to him like his father.

As for highway 100, I have never driven there, but you have never driven I-4 at 5pm or alafaya trail or 408 during rush hour. Orlando is hard to compare to anywhere else in the United States traffic-wise. I am sure I have experienced something close to highway 100.

I got a ticket last March by HWY 100 and Beliot racing a 05 GTO, somehow I managed to win the race. Actually we both got nailed. I think I learned my lesson and now keep it at the track.

I know I don't live in the Wisconsin area but someone showed me this thread...

Bolt no where wished harm on the person. Heck, he even re-quoted himself and bolded where he said he wished no harm on him but just so he totals his car cause he felt he doesn't deserve one.

Now, I will say that we have all street raced (or alot of us atleast) but we all recognize the dangers that come with it and that it is dumb...which is why I don't do it often at all or atleast do it on less trafficed areas but I really don't race people. I'm more involved with my responsiblities of life than racing some kid for the most part.

I'm not going to give someone a speach about street racing BUT I will say that complaining that some lady was on her cell phone and didn't recognize the 3 compact cars that feel they have to prove themselves by racing down a public highway and almost hit you is INCREDIBLEY foolish. You need to not blame anyone but yourself. If you were driving like a civilized person and doing the speed limit, this wouldn't have been the issue.

For all you know she was calling to make sure her kids were safe asleep in bed. You could have taken a life that night, thats the point. My biggest reason I stopped street racing for the most part (besides just being paranoid about getting caught) but cause I have a now 1 year old son. When a life is taken, it effects everyone around them...you're not just taking a life but you're taking away part of other people cause we are all emotionally attached.

Also, another thing I found disturbing is that you're praying to god that you don't get into an accident...not cause you savor your life...not cause you don't want to take someone elses life...not cause you feared injury on anyone...cause you wanted to make your next car payment? That leads me to believe that you have no full idea of life and that you don't care about your own life. If you had hit that lady in the van and you're left in the hospital injured, car mangled up...I'm sure as hell the last thing you'd be thinking about is your car payment.

You seem to show no remorse as far as almost causing an accident and I find that disturbing. I think you need to re-think life and priorities in life.

But it's your life, you do what you want.

No, I just hate when people don't think punctuation (periods, commas, paren) are necessary and then also talk in slang or use words that are just blatantly wrong. And if there was no woman in a van...would you still feel that this was an "bad ordeal"? No. You would have gone home and went to bed like everything was normal with no regard to the sitatuion.

But cause some woman came on in a van to drive on a highway, how dare she talk on her phone and not realize that there are 3 kids who have a driving license, rolling down the road to show off their meadiocre compact cars to see he's penis is bigger so they can beat their chests as one of them wins.

If you have an education, atleast use some of it. You don't have to spell everything correctly or not make errors cause people make mistakes but there is a line for most people. Your initial post had no punctuation, tons of grammatical errors and it was nothing but slang. It was just one long run on sentence.

idk if u watch the news but there are mutliple studies that have been done on talking on ur cell phone while ur driving and who its just as dangerous as drinking... i mean shit the dudes on myth busters even proved it... im more or less bitching about her driving " while talking on her cell phone" and ur right if she didnt pull out i wouldnt of even had anything happen so "yes i would have gone home and slept like a baby" u have no point.....

Stop playing father. You have your own child, which makes one understand where your words are coming from, but bashing one does not really...help anything. I do have a point but you're just missing it. I know the studies and I know what you're talking about. My point is if you were doing the speed limit and driving civilized and not at full throttle, you would have had WAY more reaction time to not hit her...cause you weren't, you had to slam your brakes and pray. That's my point.

Also, most people aren't expecting 3 cars racing up the highway in the middle of the night either. Her being on her cell phone just made her reaction time slower to realize there are 3 fools rolling up the road faster than typical highway speeds.

Your other car has little to do with this situation in similiarities UNLESS you were street racing before and got into an accident. Also, calling some woman you don't know a "bimbo" cause she was changing her radio station is just plain immature.

Wishing harm on HIM...he is not a car and the car is not attached to him. Wishing harm on his POSESSIONS is a totally diffferent topic. That was what I was pointing out.

Playing father? Bashing him cause he raced? Did you read what I wrote? I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that I've done it and probably will do it in the future but I'm making the point that what he did was wreckless, regardless of if the lady was on her cell phone or not.

I'm not "playing father", I'm freakin thinking logically. Ah, logic, that word seems to be a foreign concept now and days but yes, I'm using it. Logic says that if he was doing the speed limit, this wouldn't have been an issue and he would have had tons of time to see and react to this woman pulling out in front of them. If this was the case, there would be no issue and if it was, blame would be on her...not him. But that isn't the case, he was racing, almost wrecked and all he can say "damn woman on her cell phone didn't see us".

My issue isn't that he didn't recognize the consequences, it's the blame factor. He's blaming others for his ALMOST fuck up and could have been life changing situation.

you are misunderstanding that you are a nobody to him, therefore your words mean nothing. and stop thinking so close minded here, possession destruction causes stress and psychological harm.

Your logic is just that, logic. As stated, he already knows this logic. Your reiteration of the obvious is not needed, thats all.

He did recognize the consequences, but afterwards. drop it at that.

We aren't all perfectly loyal to the streets, unlike you. (I say this because no logical human being would bash someone for doing something they themselves have done, thats too hypocritical.)

I have done 140 mph in my car. And it was damn fun. I do not need someone to tell me it isn't 'safe'.

Ok...you evidentally have a reading problem...so I'll quote myself again:

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that I've done it and probably will do it in the future but I'm making the point that what he did was wreckless, regardless of if the lady was on her cell phone or not.

I could care less if he was racing, the fact of the matter was that he's blaming other people for his almost accident. He still has yet to admit that it wasn't HER fault but HIS.

As far as the psychological standpoint, fine, you might be right about that but for the most part, he was referring to actual injury and not psychologically but I'll give you that one.

I'm not closed minded at all. I'm very open minded. I could be telling him "you're an idiot cause street racing is stupid bla bla bla"...but I'm not. Stop trying to twist words or make things more than they are...I stated facts and logic. I'm not twisting your words, I'm reading them as you typed it, just like I'm reading his words as he typed it.

I could careless if my words mean anything to him or not...I'm just trying to atleast try and give him an understanding of the situation that he probably hasn't thought about (and probably giving him the benefit of the doubt, again).

Like I said, he has yet to show remorse as far as HIM almost hitting her...he said that street racing is dumb and that there was bad judgement all around but he still states that if she wasn't on her cell phone, there wouldn't have almost been an accident which is the TOTAL opposite. He was doing something ILLEGAL, she wasn't.

I didn't mean that you ARE close minded, I just meant on that specific standpoint. I never make general comments like that about a person I do not know, that is ignorant. And I understand what you are saying, but I mean...I get from this that he understands it was a bad choice on his part.

I think he learned to just be more careful, we all have come across one situation or another where we learn our lessons. (one time almost lost my hand on a bandsaw (I think thats what they were called) my father actually had to slap my hand away before I lost it...phew)

I fully understand what you're saying and thank you for not making a general statement...I take back for thinking you were.

I think he has learned his lesson about street racing, yes but I just want him to realize that he shouldn't blame people for his mistakes. If I ran into a tractor trailor racing a 350 Z, I'm not going to blame the tractor trailor for being in my way...I'm going to blame myself for street racing, period. That's all I was saying.

If you have an education, atleast use some of it. You don't have to spell everything correctly or not make errors cause people make mistakes but there is a line for most people. Your initial post had no punctuation, tons of grammatical errors and it was nothing but slang. It was just one long run on sentence.

To be honest with this post I do not understand what any of your points are now other then bringing someone down. With all the time you spent on this thread I will retract my preaching statement and change it BLABBING! Good day!

"But you are preaching" That pretty genaral to me!!!!!

Initially he quoted me saying:

Oh and I've done 125 in my car and it was fun as well but scary at the same time. I'm not here to preach at people to stop street racing, they do what they want.

and he said:

But you are preaching!

then I said:

I am? Ok, quote me where I said for him to stop street racing...

then he said:

You didn't say stop but you did enough preaching about how it is a bad idea, which most people understand!

then I said:

Funny...you probably didn't even attempt to read most of what I wrote. And no, I didn't preach to him that it was a bad idea to race.

Then he wanted to change his statement as far as me "preaching" in general cause he couldn't prove his statement correct of me saying "that it was a bad idea".

So to you buddy, read everything before making a statement. He changed his "preaching" statement after he couldn't prove that I was saying it was a bad idea.

you are misunderstanding that you are a nobody to him, therefore your words mean nothing.

I might be new to this whole forum thing, but as far as I understand, you post something to get other people's opinions, and to get advice, etc. If I'm wrong please let me know...

Anyway, almost no one is innocent of street racing on here, and that's not the point. I 100% agree, I HATE people who talk on their cell phones and then do stupid shit because they're not paying attention. You just can't bitch about someone doing something stupid on the road when you, yourself are doing something stupid. Don't get me wrong, I love driving fast, very rarely do the speed limit myself (hell that's why I bought a SUPERCHARGED car...), but I also know that street racing is one of the dumbest things you can do. Don't bitch about other people doing stupid things when you're just as guilty....if you'd have been driving smart then you wouldn't have had to slam on your brakes, wouldn't have had to swerve as much, then you'd be able to bitch because she'd be totally at fault. It's just as much your fault as hers, so don't start a thread about something stupid that you've done.

On a side note, Sentra SE-R Spec V - pretty damn fast car...my friend just bought one, and he can keep up with my SS/SC pretty well. Granted I wasn't going all out but still....haha (not that I was racing or anything)

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone or blaming anyone, just saying you can't bitch at other people when you're at fault just as much

Listen, I understand that you feel bad and you regret racing and all that good stuff but the point I was simply trying to make is that you shouldn't blame the woman who had a cell phone for almost getting into an accident, you should blame yourself. That's it. Nothing more. I could care less if you race or not (which I'd prefer you don't for obvious reasons) cause it's your car and life.

I will say it clearly...I'm no putting you down for street racing. I'm only giving you an insight of the situation at hand. I'm not trying to be your parent.

Glad to here you are ok man, just look at pics below to see why not to race on the street. True. I was not racing when I wrecked my last balt, but if I had been racing I would not be here today. I got hit head on by a drunk driver, almost killed me and I spent two days in critical care. This was two months ago, and I finally started to remember some of it. Wish I didnt. My point is that you cannot control what other people are going to do. You can be the best driver in the world, and all it takes is one idiot to destroy your car, life, and even your loved ones lives. Be careful out there man, a lot of dumb drivers, we all make mistakes just gotta learn from them.:twothumbs

thank you adam, since your one of the only ones that can read and comprehend anything in this thread. my whole point of what i said earlier was due to the fact that this guy was fully of arrogance and putting the blame on someone else for something that would have been his fault. also the fact he seems to cherish his car more then someone elses life. i can't believe most of you can be ok with someone with an attitude like that. yes i have done stupid things in my life, but i have learned from them. yes i have street raced, but not to the point that i'm going 35mph over the speed limit with traffic around. i have raced people from lights but once i hit the speed limit, i stop. whoever is gonna win the race basically has it won by the time you get to around 50 mph. he got a lucky break that nite and the way he was talking seemed like he didn't learn from it. the only reason i wish his car harm is that i didn't and STILL DON'T think he deserves to be on the road. its one thing to go out on backroads that are abandoned and risk your own life along with others willing to do the same, but to do it on city streets and risk the lives on the innocent is just plain idioticy (sp?). its just him though. it's alot of the people out on hwy 100. thats why i no longer go down there and why alot of the older crowd doesn't set foot down there. it's a bunch of people acting like little kids down there risking lives. i would rather have him lose his car then kill someone and i think if he actually thought about it, he would to. cars can be replaced, lives can't.
