Take off your oil cap, then twist off the extension, it screws on just like your regular oil cap.

I took mine off and replaced it with an oil cap from a Cavy, the cavy oil cap looks much better IMO

Don't forget, Modern Performance has billet aluminum oil caps in Chrome and Red -- little pricey at $25 + shipping -- but they look good.

two words Strap Wrench i tried by hand and its on their tight but the srtarp wrench gives to some leverage and come off easy with one you could use a normal wrench but you make break it and you dont want peices of plastic in there

Riser spins right off, but it is tight. Any wrench thats big enough to grab it will work. I have always been able to get them off with just my hand, but I have gorrilla hands.

Dam what did you use to shine up your valve cover? Ive been wanting to do that one weekend when im tinkering but i wasint sure what worked the best. I like the cap you used too looks nice im tore between something like that or a red one to match the car.

Is it possible that it is a Modern Performance Chrome VC?

Here's the red version...

No its not a Modern Performance Valve Cover. He did it himself and in person is looks SWEET.

I believe theres a HOW TO on doing this.

All you need is sand paper and polish.

AND time and a lot of elbow grease. He did a nice job -- it looks like chrome.

Why thank you. That is my stock cover that I hand polished. I used Nylox drill brushes to do the initial scrubbing work, then used three step rouge (black, red, white). All of this stuff is available from the Home Depot tool department. The oil cap is Modern Performance.
