GMPP Warranty in Writing
GMPP Warranty in Writing
Don't know if anybody caught it but Chevy put the warranty issue in writing concerning GMPP parts, effective after 3/24/2005. In the latest GM Performance Parts Vehicle Performance Catalog 2001-2007 they spelled out the warranty for the Exhaust system. Page 62 Buyers Guide/Warranty Information: If it is installed before the car is delivered full vehicle warranty. If is installed by the dealer 12 mos or 12K miles from install date to include labor, if by other than dealer 12 mos from purchase, parts only.
If you're planning on purchasing a Cobalt you might want to consider including all the GMPP mods before delivery!

I'm assuming this is for the GMPP part ONLY. Meaning if the exhaust gives out for whatever reason, its covered for either A. the lifteime for the warranty based ont he car purchase date, B. 12 months or C...well you get the point. It still doesn't state how it effects your CURRENT MANUFACTURERS warranty.
