View Full Version : A Sad Rainy Monday for My Baby SS/SC
pvirga88 11-13-2006, 01:37 PM Went to the Dentist this morning to get a $220.00 cleanning :cussing:
Then went out to my car to find that someone in a Mercedes M350 left some nice dents
and scuffs on my pass. side door. Isn't that lovely. :)
I sat their for a half hour waiting for the police to come so they can make a report about
the incident but the woman showd up before they got their.
She ended up being really cool about the whole thing gave me her info with no problem.
No insurance involvment so far too. She said she'll pay for it as long as the price is good.
My body shop said that the dents could be pulled with no problem and the scuffs might polish out if not the door has to be painted.
Its going to be a $200.00 to $600.00 job depending on if the door needs to be painted or not.
The woman was cool about both prices too.
I hope it works out I hate making claims.
joedashow 11-13-2006, 01:39 PM Not a good way to start your Monday...
Good thing she wasn't a bitch about anything.

I know right Last time I got into an accident the guy that rearended me told the cops it was my fault and they beleived him.
I ended up winning in the long run though the insurance company vouched for me.
cawpin 11-13-2006, 01:45 PM Yeah man, you got lucky. People around here would've just tried to leave. I hate this fucking state sometimes.
an0malous 11-13-2006, 01:57 PM to be honest id be wondering why there wasnt a note on your windshield.
If she was truely being "cool" about it you wouldnt have had to wait to catch her.
ask yourself this. if you werent sitting in your car when she got back, what would she have done?
just playing devils advocate.....

Your right she would have probably left.
When she seen me standing their she had a stupid look on her face as she was walking up. She knew she did something wrong. She just didn't admit it until I pointed it out then she said she was sorry and willingly gave me her information.
I called her a couple of times to tell her what the status is on the quotes and such.
She is cool about it. Her door was pretty dented from other incidents soo I guess she didn't want this one on her record too.

Amen...I've already got an ugly door ding, and some paint chipped off my rear bumper from someone that wasn't watching where they were backing up. My mom's car, which she bought 2 weeks after I got mine, has already seen much worse. :cussing:

Look like we got some stuff in common, My Mothers 06 Caddy STS was whacked on her way to work a few months ago. She gets it out of the body shop brand spankin new and goes to the super market. Guess what happens next she comes out to find that some shithead backed up into her car and tore up her rear bumper and her trunk.
Not even an hour out of the shop!!!!!:thumbsdow
The car ended up sitting back in the body shop for another week to get fixed.
Now she parks it like three miles away from everybody like I do mine.
Cobalt443 11-13-2006, 04:47 PM In the future ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS get the police report. I had a friend who came across an "honest" person like you did and they felt no need to call the police and file a police report. Days later he has a warrant out for his arrest due to a "hit and run". Yes, this bitch drove somewhere else and since she had his license plate number, told the cops he hit her and kept driving.
pvirga88 11-13-2006, 06:10 PM Well it's kinda hard to pull that off with the dents that I have on my car.
She has no damage what so ever. She can say all she wants if she pulls that on me.
I have Pictures of both cars parked next to eachother and a picture of her opening the door to mine confirming that it was her door that hit my car.
I covered all bases to make sure I don't get screwed

If she does end up not paying though or decides she just wants to go through insurance both her company, and yours are most likely going to want a police report.
You got lucky this time.....thank god for you...lol and you were more calm than I would have been....I probably would have knocked her the F out
hectanooga 11-13-2006, 06:15 PM That sucks... at least she wasn't a jerk about it.
RaineMan 11-13-2006, 09:16 PM I hate people these days... no respect for automobiles...
on another note... why aren't parking spaces any bigger? Every time a car goes to a new model it gets bigger... but parking spaces stay the same size. Heck... the only new model car to shrink is the Corvette.
06CobaltssOrange 11-14-2006, 08:20 AM dont u hate when people are d bags about that stuff they could smack there door into ur car and u say something about it and there like well u parked to close to me and then ur like i was here first dont u see all the other parking spaces i parked in the back some people with pos cars like u can hit eachothers doors!
pvirga88 11-14-2006, 11:26 AM I just got the estimate from the Body Shop. I'ts really not that bad only $344.70.
He is going to pop the dent and polish the door to remove the scuffs. With al the rain we had last night most of the paint scuffs came off.
I hope the woman except the estimate. I don't want to be stuck with the insurance paperwork that shit sucks.
pvirga88 11-14-2006, 08:53 PM Picking up the check tomorrow in the amount of $344.20.
I got my car fixed for $120.00.
I made $224.20.
The car still has a couple of scuff marks that couldn't be buffed out.
I could have him repair the door all the way, but the dent is what made the whole thing look bad and that was removed with no problem.
The Car is Black I can't keep the scratches off forever.
I'll just keep the extra money and save it for some future engine mods.
