Tomorrow starts my build!

Well tomorrow starts my build. Everything that is going into it is...
Diamond forged pistons, Crower Rods, Cometic Head Gasket, ARP head studs, Darton Sleeves, Neutral Balance Shafts, JBP Stage 2 Tri-Flow Cams, JBP Stage 2+1 Race Head!

Most parts wont be in for like 2-3 days but the head will take the longest timing in at 8-10 days to make sure its treated right! but I will have the motor out of the car tomorrow night and then the tear down begins!

No valve springs? That was one thing I got the impression in going through that 300hp build that was a gotta-have-it replacement.

I know a couple people with different cars that have had valve springs and/or valves do their motor in.

He doesn't necessarily need them but stiffer ones would be more suitable if he was trying to raise the rev limiter. If he was trying rev higher without the proper valve springs, he could experience valve float.

The springs should be fine as far as the power he's looking for.

I believe the Stage 2+1 race head includes better springs and such IIRC.

The Head I am getting comes with everything new in the head. Nothing stock will be left in the head besides the Stock Valve Guides.

Stage 3 Head uses mainly Ferrea Parts including the valves and everything. The stage 2 head uses all JBP parts. Its funny because on their site all the JBP parts are more expensive than the Ferrea parts so why pay $800 more for the stage 3 head when the stage 2 head is technically worth more... Anyway the +1 stands for the Head being Coated to reduce heat. also I will have their Stage 2 Cams

I thought the same thing .....hell , a PAIR of heavily ported complete LS2 heads cost much less than 1 stg3 JBP eco head .

Cool on the turbo 06 .....hate to see that very capable engine wheezing thru a collapsed lung

No not defective. I only got 10k miles out of it and only to the track once. I will never go with SPEC again. A Stage 3 clutch should be able to take much more abuse than what I gave it. It slipped on 1-2 and 2-3 sometimes even the 3-4 shifts! It was just a shitty clutch. The springs got knicked from something and the friction material was almost gone. Maybe would have gotten like 1-2k miles out of what was left with no WOT runs!
