suspension installs are expensive !

i was just quoted by a performace shop here in pa that for doing all 4 wheels on sportline springs and front and rear sway bars that it would cost $460 for install! that just sounds crazy to me.

That's pretty good/normal actually. Don't forget when you install springs you need an alignment.

That price probably includes the alignment.

My Springs took me Two hours with hand tools, six bolts per front strut, one in the rear, Front Sawy Bar is going to be a bitch though, back easy

Seeing as you have the SS you should already have 22mm front bar and should not need to replace it.

The rear bar is a bolt on and its easy. If you have never done springs befor have some that has done it help you so you dont get hurt. Springs can be done in your drive way with the right tools. then take it in for an alijnment and your done.

The price you have sounds about right for what you asked for but will be less when you tell them you dont need the front bar put on.

Yup price sounds about right... front sway bar you need to lower the engine cradle (subframe) which is not the most fun job.. and the rest, well thats shop hour labor man..

yeah i made a few more calls and i got the price down lower to $325 plus going to get an alignment and this is for my friends 2.2 ls cobalt not my ss though ill end up doing this too in the future.

Yeah a spring install isn't nearly as bad as most people think it is. If your moderatly mechanicly inclind it shouldn't be to much of a problem.

that price is fairly good for what u want done...most shops charge an hourly rate...normally around the $40 to $60 range...springs can take time to install properly...
