Question CA stage kits. Intense Stage kits. Gm stage kits.

Which one are you using, why? Whats the most reliable bang for the buck here? I got 600 dollars to burn (on parts only) and I need some advice.

P.s How does the mail in PCM stuff work?

Well, 560.00 shipped for GM stage II, retains warranty, sounds pretty sweet to me.
If you dont care about warranty though, the Intense or CA are definately the way to go!

You just send them your ECU, they will flash it and send it right back.
OR, you can trade ECU's with them, but you wont be able to plug in the new one and go, you would have to have a CASE learn done.

for cheap stage 2. $560.95 shipped. Do you need a tension thing for going from 3.0 pully to 2.8?

I didn't need the tensioner when I had the Stage 2 w/ 2.8 pulley, but I know some people had problems with hesitation and/or belt slip. And I would also say go GM Stage 2 if your looking for reliability.

Yeah, I personally am going to go with the GM stage kit before i do anything bigger, simply because it will make me take longer before i do anything that might not be warranty happy and because i am new to the car modding stuff...

my thought is that if you're asking a question like this, it might be best to start out with GM stages first... just $.02 though

I went with GM for the simple fact that it's GM.

If anyone knows what they are doing with the Cobalt....it's GM. As far as reliabilty goes.

You can break axles from a stop, while shifting, and getting massive amounts of wheel hop

I went C/a #1 because they are local,, and #2 they are a great bunch of guys over there and have continously gone out of their way to help me and a few other locals out... plus I know what went into developing the kit (I got to test em) so I trust it

would having an lsd work for dd use. im looking at going stage 6 with ca i dont go to the tracks much but i want some extra power for when i "need" to use it. most of the time it would be when i get a bit of traction or from a dead stop.
