The future and my cobalt ss/sc

So i guess after reading all these reviews, seeing our car always come in last/second last...

The overall negative attitude towards our cars...

Im going to... keep the ****** after the lease is done. thats right, i'm going to buy it out. I love this car. People may rag on it, but its unique. I dont know about you guys but my friends pissing and moaning because he hates his cobalt (2.4L) and wants a mazda speed 6 (which is slow as snot haha ive yet to be beat by one of those) and i just love how different our car is. Nobody ever sees any of them around, but they know what they are.

I dont care if a turbo model comes out, i like the supercharged one.

I was thinking of going to a wrx but i sat in the interior of one and just shivered.

The only thing i want to know, can i add the LSD (i didnt get the g85 package on mine) to my ss/sc ? (06 model)

so umm yeah....

Glad to hear you're keeping it. I have no plans of getting rid of it. I love this car and in a few years after I'm done showing I'm going to retire it to daily driver and get another show car. I may keep this car forever, it's the first fun car I have ever had and I don't want to be someday telling my kids about a car I used to have I want to show them.

I would get an aftermarket LSD instead of the one that comes with the G85.

i feel the same way... this is my second Cobalt and it's the most fun I've had in a car since my 1984 Capri RS 5.0L... this car is an absolute ball to drive and in the 3 months I've had it, I've racked up almost 8000 miles just because I love driving it.

I'll probably keep this one for a good long time.

Well for me the plan was to give it back. It took a month and 5000K (yep I put on 3500 miles on the car in the first month I owned) and decided I will buy it out. Then I started modding. I plan on buying it out and keeping it im my garage always. Some of my friends have said why? just get a v-8 and go nuts on that building it up. I feel where's the challenge and what is wrong with small displacement. My choice of crotch rocket is a 600 as well. they are so flickable and go just about at good. I not on a track with it.it is the fastest car I have ever owned and it does not cost much to buy out. I then am planning on leasing a Jeep Rubicon Unlimited Wrangler and buy that out at the end of its lease. Great winter and offroad fun. I will be done buying vehicles for a long time then.

Edit - LSD - I dont have it but will. you buy the LSD have transmission pulled and put it in along with a possible gear change if you want and a lighter aluminum flywheel and two disc clutch. done. My power levels are intended to be 400HP but what ever it is it will be achieved with the S/C. I love that sound, power coming on with no lag, and the pull it has. it will just get better as We build these.

Note: I have seen pricing on LSD for 1500 but then you need bearings seals and labour to take tranny apart. A tranny with LSD in it is $2000. so just R&R it and sell old tranny. you will be further ahead IMO.
