Hey guys,
well, ss is still off the road but installed an aftermarked CAI and after driving it around the complex for awhile it tricked P0102 (MAF Sensor Circuit Low Frequency). Now I was expecting something to trip the engine light, since it seems to happen alot from what i've read. Now i'm a newb to the lsj platform so be nice :)

Right now she is stock (other then mounts/cai and springs) and i used hpt to read the code. I know for the stage 2 kit, gm releashed the flash raising the MAF requency, but thats the Hi not the low..? or am i mistaken. Was curious to what others have done to fix this.

Thanks!
Nate

goto engine dianotics on the tool bar between "engine" and "trans", then goto DTCs, scroll down to your code, uncheck SES enable, and change error mode the desired level of error.

sounds like you got an AEM CAI?

hey guys,
I don't want to delete the code to never show up. Cause the car wouldn't start, so i know it must be something a little more important then say deleting the second 02 sensor code.

XTC intake. :)

your not asking a tuning question then? more like a... "how do i fix my intake"

look into speed density, stop the code from reporting, disable your maf and tune your primary VE table.

ok, i could disable the code, no problem. I could change the primary ve table, but then how come nobody else seems to have this problem and they don't have hpt to change these things? Tomorrow morning ill take off the wheel and double check to make sure i plugged in the maf sensor. But yes, was curious to what others where doing to fix this cel problem.

Nobody else has any input?

You may have damaged the MAF sensor (or not plugged it in). The DTC will set only when reading less than 500 hertz for more than 3 seconds I believe. The car should be showing around 2000 hertz at idle, so basically your flow is so low, the PCM assumes the MAF is damaged, which it's probably correct.

Your car is running off the VE table, and you may not be running right because of that! That also might be why the car won't start.

Ah yes, the MAF sensor wasn't plugged in. Doh. Plugged it in and it fixed the problem. But damn its tight up in the fender .

Thanks guys,
