extrude honing would be much more even that you could ever do with a dremel or pretty much any other machining device.

well i was thinking of sending it out and getting the inside glass beaded to smooth out the inside of the manifol. its still better than paying $350Cnd for the extrude. and shoud gain about the same.. i hope!! i won't be putting it on untill i get the GMPP exhaust in march anyway so i have some time to work it.

extrude honing (like the GMPP manifold) uses a thick sand like material that is squeezed through the manifold to erode the internal walls. It opens it up as well as smoothes the internal surfaces.

I know what extrude honing is!! lol, but if i can polish out the inside of the manifold and do a bit of porting(if any) would it not be close to the same? in the least it should help. i may not get the 8Hp that people are saying they got but i also didn't pay as much!
i started to clean out the inside of the manifold today and wow is ther a lot of sharp edges and other things that cause a restriction in the stock manifold. im gona try and get a dyno of befor and after too. just to see if it helped, or if i wasted my time.

I wasn't sure so I thought I would post it.

That would actually be really benneficial to everyone if you did. Perhaps a step by step how-to if it yields significant gains?

The manifold is cast and its a bitch to get material out. If you want, and feel like putting a lot of time into, go for it. I priced having it done and the cost was more than the honed and extruded one GMPP sells. Thats just my experience at having it done....good luck to you...

Long story1 involves a friend and improper install of my stage 2 cams, anyways I should have the car back tommorro,as for the p&p I don't know how accuratly I'll be able to answer questions, you see. I dont have a DP/header yet, so that might interupt the flow. and you might be wondering why i did all this work without having the other boltons, well cause my buddy fucked my valvetrain, so since I had to fix it,I thought I would take things up a notch
