Installing a water temp guage?

i was wondering if anyone has installed a water temp electric gauge yet in the 2.2? i have a autometer c2 electric gauge and jsut would like some help installing it. thanks

Doesnt' the DIC report back coolant temperature? Why bother?

because if your like me pushing a button to get a reading is dumb and this car should ahve came with a gauge already. for crist sakes my taurus had a guage for it!

My most recent cars all had proper gauges (temp, oil pressure, volts) but this car (which is the performance version no less), has just fuel and tach. Its my only real gripe about the interior.

i just leave the DIC on water temp and it stays there... but i guess that dont help awnser your question lol

You will probably need a tee fitting and use the stock sensor location. I am pretty sure it is on the back side of the head near the center.

anyone have a how-to on drilling and taping a head for this gauge?

I have no idea if it would work, but since you are using an electric gauge maybe you can splice into the wiring for the stock sending unit. Just a thought.
