06 versus 07 cobalt ss sc.

I was wondering... are there any differences between the 06 ss and the 07? My friend claims that he saw an 07 SS with a supercharger that had white guage faces and the speedometer only went to 140 as opposed to the 160 mark. He also said something about the 07's coming with a smaller spoiler.

Any information would be great.

Thanks

I could be wrong, but I think all Cobalts got a different steering wheel in 07.

The 07s have a different steering wheel, different radio, the DIC controls are on the wheel instead of the dash. The wheels are a little different (they go in then up, as opposed to the 05-06 wheels that have an angle to them). The 07 have an option for the low spoiler. But if it had white faced gauges that went to 140, it was an SS/NA, not the SC model.

I have a laser blue 07 Cobalt SS/SC and no white face gages, the wheels look the same as my friends 05 and another friends' 06 G85 only mine are the polished ones. also, I have the small spoiler...
the only difference I saw were the radio controls and the radio itself.

I went in and took a look at this car for myself and it infact did have the white guages that went up to 140 in the dash, a boost guage on the A pillar and a supercharger under the hood.

So what we have confirmed is the 07 do not have the option for white gauges to 140 . I think we now must ask is are the SS/NA gauges able to be put in the SS/SC if so then
the car has had the Gauges changed. Although i would love white gauges i'm not willing to lost 20 mph on the speedo to get it. More than a few of us have had these things at 140
since you can practicly hit that in 4th gear!

Yes i have the 07 and the butttons on it are to small they are kinda a pain in the ass to use easily while driving the 06 stearing wheel seems so much user friendly. Just my opinion though!

the cluster on that car must have been damaged and replaced by the dealer; or fraud should be evident.. unless someone ordered it that way with white-face guages..

05/06 to 07' changes/ options>>>>

Low-spoiler option, three point wheel, one-button "blacktie" radio, aluminum wheels, option to have LSD and Recaros seperated.. meaning LSD w/o Recaros, or the other way around.. bout' it really.. everything else is the same..

I still haven't figured out why people don't like the polished wheels. It was a requirement on my car wouldn't have bought it without them!I think there sweet! o wellwe can't all have the same opinion now can we!

My problem with polished wheels is they only look good with certain colors. I know on my car, the gunmetal looks great with the yellow.

Do the seats say SS on them? Lower front lip? Someone didn't put the blower on a 2.4 now did they?

biggest reason i bought my Cobalt SS/SC was the way the polished wheels looked with the laser blue... that and I liked the small spoiler... stealthy, sleeperish.

I looked under the hood it was in fact the 2.0 ecotec motor with the supercharger. There was also a boost guage and the seats did say ss on them.

I love them on my Silver SSC ,I like flash just as much as go. I didn't spend $24,000 after all thee add ons to get a car that looks so so! & Yes the gunmetal is killer on a lot of cars including yellow!

the 07 SS/SC next to mine was silver with the argent/gunmetal wheels and red inserts in the seats... mine had no inserts and is an all black, all business interior.
Still though, the color pops rude with the polished wheels.

i test drove my first 07 ss/sc cobalt before Christmas. 160mph gauges, low spoiler, SS badge on the seat, 18 polished wheels. All i know is in February a ss/sc will be mine, oh yes. i have an LT and it will be leaving me. i really don't care if it is a 05, 06, or 07. just as long as it has that SS SUPERCHARGED badge and under 20k miles.
