It gets an armrest because its an auto

I still think it sucks that now people will be saying "I beat a Cobalt SS before so I can beat your car"

Thanx for the pics! In your opinion how do the polished rims look compared to ours. I like our front grill (no grill) better.

They actually do look quite nice, but 17 inch wheels with the massive wheelwells the cobalt has just doesn't look as good to me. But the wheels themselves looked nice. I still prefer ours however.

You should probably spend less time worrying about what other people say about your car and spend more time enjoying it... Unfortunately, if someone really wants to rip on your car, they'll find a way to do it..

Personally, that 2.4 SS looks good, the differences from the SC are clearly noticable (so the SC's can still differentiate themselves). It looks like a great choice for those would-be LS buyers. In any market, the greater the choice, the better.

agreed--The NA SS is a fine car. It looks closer to an SS/SC then an LS and doesn't have that horrible wing!

Looks much nicer than an LS but not as nice as the SS/SC...

Anyone know the price differance between the two. Personally I would perfer a turbocharged SS coupe than a supercharged SS/SC...but thats just my opinion. It would have to be a huge price difference to change my mind

He means he wants to buy the SS N/A and add a turbo to it.

I think I like the look of the polished aluminum better than what the SS S/C has.. I just wish they would have the polished aluminum as an option of the 18's
It still seems a bit lame on GM's part to offer only one wheel style from the factory.. oh well.

Myself I am glad they have the lower grill on the 2006 (for protection against small critters and debris etc.)

Very good comparison pics side-by-side and back-to-back though, well done 'DomesticDemonSS'

Not sure why some guys don't like the wing on the SS/SC. I think it's one of the big parts of the equation that makes the car look so damn good. Just doesn't have the same appeal as a smaller wing. IMO

At the bottom it almost looks like a front mount. So which ones have the huge wing? The wing that wasn't pictured.

My car (darker wheels ) comes standard with a larger wing. Check the photo gallery most of the members here (maybe all) besides me have the larger wing on the back.

Personally I wouldn't mind of someone thought they beat an 'SS.' It just makes it all the more easier for me to beat them when they get too cocky. Then they get roasted by an SS S/C and realize they are an idiot. Their loss.

I like your wing a LOT more domestic, it looks great. And I'm not so sure if someone could possibly mistake a n/a one for the s/c. I havn't actually heard a cobalt yet but I'm sure the s/c is very distinct. If its anything like a lightning then there is just no way.

Thanks for the wing comment scott. The charger you can hear but it's not as loud as a lightnings. I have a modified intake settup which makes mine whine louder, but from the factory if they both had aftermarket exhausts it would be hard to tell apart. Looks similar but the SS/SC still has an overall more "muscular" stance than the standard ss. Even with my less excentric wing my car looks more aggressive I think.

I hope people do think that they are racing a standard cobalt when they come up to me.
