I own a 05 SS/SC and i've own a 03 RSX-S, and both cars are a lot of fun to drive )

 

To bad it's common knowledge that a Cobalt SS can run way better than a 14.8@96 whereas the numbers for the RSX are a bit on the generous side.

 

since when did i say the rsx type S is so much more superior than the cobalt SS? you are clearly a fanboy.

if they were a bit generous on the 1/4 mile on the rsx type S, why couldn't they be a bit generous on any of the cobalt scores? it is what it is. they did their test. this is just one magazine's test.

The Acura is a fine car but loses out when you look the bang for your buck when compared to the Cobalt S/C.

In Canada it costs about $7,000 more!
I am curious about and handling results, got any?

 

This just tells me that both cars are very competetive with each other, and both need to be respected in sport compact world. Now we just gotta hope the LSJ motor is going to be as reliable as the RSX motor

But seriously, don't feel threatened by a fanboy. I'm going to be driving a serious performance car in a few weeks time and is it wrong to be a fan of my car on CobaltSS.net? Get real bro...I'm on these forums because I love this car!!! Anybody else gotta a problem with that??

 

at first i took it as a joke but you've been making comments like that recently so i just thought you were serious. it's hard being an rsx owner on here sometimes due to the fanboys always trying to start something.

Oh my god it's some real looking performance data rather than the uber perfect track run. Makes me feel better that I only hit 14.9 @ 94.8 mph at the track

Here, we have the same battle. Two friends of mine. One has an arrival blue 05 Cobalt SS, the other an 03 RSX with a turbo kit... back and forth back and forth... there was less **** talking during the damn Cold War! Will either of these two menaces meet on the dragstrip? Four weeks have gone by and still **** is thrown back and forth! No timeslips forthcoming...

I like my Cobalt better than the RSX... Of course, I didn't mind the Integra and was sad to see it go, but every ricer up here had either that or a Civic, so i stuck to Cavaliers!

yeh that ....these guys are getting worse than RSX owners. Damn...they don't like anyone saying any car is even close to being as good as the SS.

Well, I've been pretty civil up until now. The fact is that magazine probably considered resale value after 3 years, where the Cobalt will be at 60% and the RSX will be closer to 80% and the dash in the RSX won't be falling off the firewall.

j/k...keep in mind guys that this is the first model year for the SS. Let Chevy refine it like they did the Cavalier (cough, cough) and I'm sure it will kill the comparable Acura product. Just like the Z24 did to the Integras. Again...j/k

no, it makes you a fanboy due to your post that said that the #'s for the rsx-s were a lil too generous. you have no clue what an 05 rsx-s runs but yet you claim they were too generous. yes, the cobalt SS might run faster than the time they gave it but so can the rsx-s.
