Do you still have the stock flash on your car?
Have you ever gone to the dealership to get the updated reflash?

If not then yes it probably is your intake. Could be the gas cap thing mentioned earlier.

I love that you "poped the hood and nothing looked out of the ordnary." What did you expect to find, smoke and flames shooting out everywhere? I would say 99% of the time when someone gets a CEL, everything looks fine from outside. Majority of the time it has to do with one of the many sensors in a car.

I hope one day your CEL comes on and its because of something very obvious under the hood that can be fixed easily ;x

but your right, there is hardly ever a situation where there is something you can do to fix it right there and then

Sometimes the check engine light comes on when the engine actually falls out of the car....Depending on how closely he looked he may have been able to recognize this and diagnose the problem.

I know the guy bumped this and was impatient...but don't be so harsh and immature criticizing everything he typed.

I'm confused why it was bumped 7 minutes later and all he said was he had a CEL come on and everything looked fine.

What did he expect us to do? MAgically read his code from miles away?

Maybe his engine threw the P000K "All is well! Remain calm..." code. Or maybe some cars now a days are equipped with huge arrows with lights on them that pop out of the engine bay Looney Tunes style when it throws a code and the hood is opened that says "Here's your problem!"

The guy said that it was because i have a little breather filter on my valve cover instead of a tube going to the intake and for some reason all the sudden the computer didnt like it.

P.S. I dont give a flying **** about your lame ass comments about me looking under the hood or my intake, this is just for the people that like to be aware of how our computer works and why it did what it did.

So in other words technically when you looked under your hood there was something wrong, how ever your the cause of it.

Did they say anything about your air intake at all?
