With enough time and money, anything's possible, but I really don't think it's realistic. You'd have to know first of all whether the ability is there in the PCM, which I doubt it is. Then you'd have to switch PCMs (technically I'd think it's the BCM not PCM), then you'd have to install the wheel speed sensors, then you'd have to run all the wiring.....it's just not a DIY-friendly process.

its in the bcm !! and you need all the lines the abs unit its self and complete body harness and all 4 spindels well the hubs at least thats where the sensor is on the wheels. i wouldent do it. for one to make it right like factory. you need a full doner car and thats not 2 cheap. besides i put it all in my car. it all worked great but it wouldent start. i think its the key and tunbler that i changed becouse i dident want to change door locks. there a chip in the key and the car learns that set of numbers.the numbers dident match and the car woulndent start. im trying i again in about 2 weeks sone as i finsh this Z24 3.1 engine. I am doing a bench rebuild. then ill have 2 cars again the short block is done now the rest.

I dont need some fancy ABS to stop for me, I am well competent to stop on my own.

I think Auto-X would be much better without ABS lol

It's actually better to NOT have ABS for auto-x, same with traction control. Most people disable both if possible.

ABS and racing = no. Its usually very distracting if it goes off. You should know your cars limits and use the brakes to actually help you corner and turn. Using your cars brakes for weight transfered in cornering is essential. Abs is not going to help with quicker lap times. Mine has been either disabled or removed from all of my cars. Its pretty much designed for the pedal mashers in emergency's to allow them to turn still without locking the brakes up. A skilled driver will keep the brakes on the edge of locking or use the locking to help them avoid the hazards or enter a corners properly.

i hate abs mostly because of our vw r32, if the abs works for like 5 seconds or more all of the electical shuts off and you have to start the car again, i believe the car thinks its getting in a wreck. But in the same breath i dont mind it, because its not bad at all in our chevy's that we own

ABS is something everybody needs (Exccept for Auto-X). When your in that situation that brakes are needed quick you slam it without even remembering to "pump your brakes." Then bam the crackling sound comes. ABS has saved my quite a few times when driving in semi wet conditions.

I've never heard about the ABS shutting off the car. But it does seem logical for it to turn off the car to prevent fire when unconscious. But maybe its because you were in a high gear and the car was down to 5 mph while still in 4th gear or something lof that nature.
