ABS sucks.....

Anyone else think the ABS is too sensitive? On a bumpy course getting on the brakes hard for a corner the stupid ABS kicks in and ruins my weight balance and screws up my line. Is there a fuse to pull to shut it off or anything. ABS sucks.

abs is crap. not sure if you can just pull the fuse but if really wanted you could unplugged a wheel sensor it would disarm the system and you would still have full braking. The brake light would come in the dash thats all. if there was a problem with say a wheel sensor the computer turns the light on and disarms the system so i can't see that if you un plugged it it would be any different.

I'll have to give that a shot. I just can't brake hard enough with the ABS. There is a lot more traction left after the ABS kicks in. If I can find a way to turn it off without the ABS light coming on I will leave it off all the time.

Flip open your Fuce Cover and have a look..

It's probably a Relay and a fuse, not just a fuse..

i pullm my fuse all the time to disable the abs. Car stops better ImO but the slightest turn of the wheel while braking hardf and my car would spin around. EVERYTIME on command scary stuff. I disabled mine cause when i went down to smaller wheels the abs got way too sensetive.

You actually got oversteer by disabling the ABS? AWESOME!!! I may not have to get a fat rear sway bar after all!! Understeer sucks *****!

Under really hard breaking it was scary though that was the only reason i put the fuse back in after two weeks. I had to actually break hard on the road to save my car from getting smashed and the damn thing went completly sideways just making things worse to scrap out of. No thanks i'll deal witht he abs and unplug it for parking lot fun.

FWD oversteer is good. I have never driven a FWD car that had too much oversteer. I used to run my civic hatch with 155 80 r 13"s on the rear so I could get a little oversteer. I cant imagine it is that bad on the ss. Ill try it and report back.

EDIT: Civic was a junker budget racer and didnt have a rear swaybar.
