For those with a loose or dropped sunroof switch cover / bezel off headliner TSB info
I am slowly having the dealer fix everything they ignored on this car for a year (which they eventually sold to me at nearly a $4000 loss because of their neglect)
One item was the missing sunroof switch bezel / cover. I know it has been said in other posts, but there most certainly is a TSB on this issue.
There are two replacement parts that are ordered for this TSB, the bezel itself and its retaining bracket.
If your sunroof switch is loose or off, go to the dealer. Ask them to do a TSB search for your year Cobalt, with just the keyword "sunroof"
As of this date, for a 2006 Cobalt, it came up as item number 4 when the search was done.
Odds are, your dealership won't have the parts in stock, so I would show them the problem, and have them start the ordering process, so you can minimize the amount of time your car has to stay at the dealer.

First, its not necessarily the switch thats loose, its the surrounding bezel.
Second. Car MSRP was almost exactly $25000. Car invoice was approximately $22000. I held them to an advertisement they issued offering the car for $17000 (with difficulty). There was a $1000 rebate they held from GM. I also took off another $2550 with a GM credit card. The dealer's loss was approximately $4000 NOT INCLUDING the interest they paid for 14 months to GM.
Reason they took a bath on the car...
1) Car arrived in Nov 2005 on the dealer lot.
2) Dealer decides car is worth $2700 more than MSRP, and so adds a "market adjustment" sticker adding to its price.
3) While sitting on the lot, some pieces to the car go missing...like the sunroof switch bezel and floormats...dealer decides its ok to leave a gaping hole in the roof liner of a brand new car on the lot for its customers to see while test driving, and keeps the $2700 markup posted.
Surprise, nobody wants to buy the car. I pointed out to them in Oct 2006 the hole in the roof liner. They never fixed it. Even when I bought the car in Jan 2007, it was still the way it was back in Oct 2006.
Dealer continues to pay 8-9% interest to GM on the car for letting it sit on the lot for over a year.
Not fully understanding why this hot car can't sell, they firesale it just to stop being eaten up by interest charges on a 2006 car going into 2007.
There may have also been some "secret" dealer only GM incentives at the end of the year they held, but still, they sold the car at a loss.

Thank goodness no!
Its been a great car so far. Its spent a lot of time in the shop for stuff like this bezel, but still a great car.
Now I noticed the "supercharged" badge in the back isn't adhered properly, so they have to order me that too.
Its just a bunch of little stuff.

I had my sunroof bezel fixed twice by 2 different dealerships so far... The first time, it lasted a couple months but fell again.
I lived with it for a while, but finally went to another dealer a few weeks ago and got it fixed again... Maybe this time it will last longer. If not, I guess I'll just get it fixed again for a couple months.
Well...they put in the TSB parts...and it STILL falls out. Both the dealer and I agreed it was crap-tastically engineered. Not sure what else can be done. There are just no alternative parts.
I am going to hold the darn bezel in with doublestick tape.
