I have talked to a few of you (thanks again guys!), my question is;

I have stage 2, and I am experiencing the symptoms of boost surge that the reflash was supposed to fix. Unfortunately, the reflash did not fix it.

Now my dealership/GM customer service, is trying to say that the symptoms are normal, and that stage 2 is supposed to run with these hiccups that I get under moderate acceleration.

From your experience, is this true? It doesnt seem to make sense to me.

When you guys have succesfully done the install, do you notice any choppyness/hiccups in the acceleration? Shouldn't acceleration be smooth all the way through?

Thank you so much for your help guys. I don't have alot of other places to turn to.

-Travis

I get the same feeling with mine now that Stage 2 is installed. I thought maybe it had something to do with it being Front Wheel Drive. This is my first Front drive car, always drove rear or AWD before so if it's not supposed to do that what do I need to do to fix it?

I really don't think our cars are supposed to run like that.

Hotwheelz- You may want to get the update/reflash for your car if you havn't gotten it already. It solves the problem for alot of people(just not me).

The thing is it was just flashed a week and a half ago. I went back to the dealer within minutes of driving it off the lot and they recontacted GM then and there and let me talk to the person who deals with this stuff. They assured me I got the latest and greatest flash to take care of all issues dealing with idle surge. I'm startin to think it's, gulp, driver error. Again this is my first front drive car so i'm still getting used to it, as I've only actually driven the car for about a month now. I'm gettin springs soon and won't be drivin it till I can get an appt for the alignment so I'll have them look at it again then.

after i put my hr springs in, i toolk it for an alignment.
the only things that were adjusted were L & R toe, one was a positive, and the other was a negative adjustment. camber/castor seemed unaffected by the lowering.
IMHO, they recentered the steering wheel. i am about to take my springs out, and i have no intention of another alignment until i get new tires.
anyone care to add to this?

Don't blame yourself just yet....

Definately take time to get used to the car, but if you are experiencing the same problem I am, then there is no way that it is your fault.

I have uneven acceleration between 2500rpm and 5000rpm. It isn't under WOT, just on a normal accleration. Since there is no shifting while these hiccups occur, it couldn't be a driver error.

If you are experiencing the same problem, then it probably isnt your fault. Just cause you got the correct reflash, doesn't mean that the problem is fixed...
