Pen on my Seat

I have a pen mark on my seat.. I don't know how it got there, but all I know is that it's there and I don't like it.. I tried my leather cleaner from Mcguiers and it didn't work..

Anyone know a good way to get this off my leather?

I'm not sure but I think nail polish remover will do it. Just try it somewhere on the seat where its not visible first to make sure that it doesn't dis-color the interior...BTW what type of interior do you have?

ahhhhh... nail polish remover has ascetone in it which is capable of melting plastic. I wouldnt use that on my leather seats.

He has the ebony leather seats with yellow inserts. Hey Jonathan, is the pen mark on the yellow portion...I assume it is because you wouldn't be able to see it on the black portion (lol). Try the Mr. Clean Eraser pas. This works on painted walls, ceramic and carpet. IDK if it works on leather. Read the instructions first. Good luck!!!

Non-acetone would probably be fine though anything that says "safe for artificial nails" won't have acetone in it (most say right on the bottle either "with acetone" or "non-acetone". I'm not sure that I'd be keen on using any sort of nail polish remover on my leather though, especially on the color inserts.

I know I've seen little yellow bottles of stain remover for all kinds of stuff (ink, blood, food, etc) usually in the laundry detergent area of Wal-Mart. You could look at that and see if it says whether or not it works on leather.

Hey Man!!

Funny you say that about the Eraser.. Cause I just got the new Mr. Clean autodry.. To upgrade my old kit I had... This new Autodry is better then the old model cause it sprays harder etc.. Anywaz on with the topic lol sorry. It came with the Eraser and I wasn't even thinking about it.. But I just read the site.. And it says not to use on glossy surfaces..

I think I am gonna just maybe give it time to see if maybe it will just fade out.. It's getting a little lighter.. Well see.. I will look around the stores a little to see if I can find something..

Thanks fer the help so far....

I wouldn't wait too long...if you wait awhile and it doesn't fade out, it'll be even harder to get out with any kind of product, it'll be more "soaked in" your leather. I guess it depends on how much it's bothering you though...I'm assuming a pen "exploded" or broke on your seat...if it's just a little mark like someone wrote on it, it's probably not as big of a deal.

Nope didn't explode or anything.. Just kinda like I put the pen between my legs and it must wrote a little line.. I mean it's not really noticeable and it's about 1/2 long..

i have used hairspray on a carpet when a pen exploded, and it worked, you just have to make sure you shampoo the seat after and get the hairspray off...

speaking of defects, some ******* smoking in my car burnt the seat.. and didnt tell me. i found it today.. which is brutal. i mean, sure i woulda been pissed if they told me.. but not that much.. i jsut would have said something like, "huh, shitty.." but finding it now, infuriates me. NO SMOKING IN MY CAR!!!!!!

No one smokes in my car.. I am a smoker (tring to quit) and I don't even smoke in my car.. No way is that gonan happen... My friends are like oh you will smoke in it sooner or later.. I am was like.. "Like **** I Am" ... I am not gonna put the money out to replace a burnt leather seat.. It would cost too much.. And besides cars start to smell like poop when you smoke in them.. I like the smell of my leather seats
