I plan on purchasing a Cobalt SS S/C in 2 years. I'm just starting college and need to save money until then. I was considering an Ion Redline (I'm a BUY GM Only guy although when I'm 50 I WILL own a Ferrari F430, what a beautiful work of art) but really enjoy the Cobalt styling especially after i drove one today. It had the 2.4L base Ecotec. But I heard that GM is gonna turbo charge this for the Solstice GT,GTP,GXP??? whatever they call (what a butchering of GM's supposed Performance division) Sorry for long posting, can anyone confirm what GM is doing to up the pwr in this car, b/c I want to blow the doors off my mom in her 2002 Pontiac Trans Am and this SS S/C won't even come close to touching outa the factory...Please Respond

 

I wont count on ever blowing the doors off of an LS1 with GM parts on your Cobalt.

Now, if you want to turbocharge the 2.4 yourself; have fun!
