New addition - first pics
After driving around a Trailblazer for the past year and getting bum raped on gas I made the decision to go back to a 4cyl car. When I looked for something that I would like to drive daily for my personal taste, needs, and budget this was the best bang for the buck. This is my daily driver, but that does not mean it will remain stock for long. Look for around 300whp sometime this summer.
The car is a 2005 Cobalt SS/SC G85
My "other" car is a custom built turboed 99 Cavalier Z24. The cavy has been an amazing car, it was s/c'ed with the M45 GM setup and I managed a best of 13.26@107mph on that setup. The new setup will be far more insane with conservative goals putting me in the 400whp range on pump and 450whp on race gas
What can I say, I guess i'm just a GM kind of guy. It's great to be here and I look forward to talking to you all

Is that a typo or did you swap out the recaro's? You're interior pic is of non-g85 seats. I love what you did with the s/c emblem on the dash. I did that myself last summer to my '05 ss/sc.
Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. I actually have a bunch of pics of the Z both from this past season when it was actually together and from this winter during the build process. Seeing I have so many pics please feel free to hit up my gallery here and check everything out - http://607motorsports.com/gallery2/m...?g2_itemId=455
As for the Recaro's I personally didn't really like the look of them so I traded at the dealership for the one's you see in the pics. I like the all black leather interior better... just my personal taste though.
Also as far as the cavy goes there's seriously farr too many mods to list for that car with even more completed or being completed this winter. My hope was to take the Cavy to Carlisle in the spring but i'm going to pass this year and take the Cobalt so I have some more time for tuning and getting it all dialed in.

Again thanks for all the comments everyone. I'll be looking to do as much to this car as possible with still retaining reliability. This is my daily driver so I wanna do enough upgrades to give me a nice boost in performance but not get too crazy. That's what my Cavy is for
how much power u dropping down in the cav? if ur makin it ur daily driver. i would personally go with all GM parts on it. they tend to **** over alot of ss/sc that are moddin their cars and breaking down. if u haven't experience wheel hop. some good solid mounts are good too. i mean i think GM stage 2, full exhaust, mounts, should be fine for a daily driver. if u go to our vendor section..you can really get anything for your car. good luck with it.
