i just bought the 2.85 pulley for my car i have the gm stage to kit with the 3.0 pulley on it ryte now when i go to put the 2.8 pulley on do i need to buy a diffrent belt for the smaller pulley or will there be somwhere i can tighten the belt

 

Do you have the stage 2 belt? If you do you will be fine.

 

youll be fine down to a 2.7 with the stage belt, anything smaller you need an idler or tensioner.
