blew the end off my dp

Took my buddy for a rip in the car tonight and my dp blew off the collector. It scared the **** out of me because I was at full throttle 7000rpm 17psi just about to shift and it broke off the car got so loud and acutally vibrated like crazy. I would think this should be warranty it was only on the car less than 100 kms (60 miles)

you need tranny mounts to stop the engine torque that broke that collector off

I am running polly trans inserts and cabs from intense. My car has all the supporting mods
it is done right so I thought dual pass he plate and extra he.
Also why do thet put the flex pipe in there in the first place then if the motor isn't supposed to move.

you had a defective downpipe i would give zzp a call back and see if they replace it, they should because there's no way that was your fault

unless of course you have no engine mounts and your engine twists 5-6 inches when you hit the throttle LOL

it looks like they were just cheap flex pipes, probably not able to hold up against the heat that comes through our exhausts compared to a normal car

I've had mine on for more than 10k miles and haven't had any problems.
Then again, I have the hi-flo cat, they don't.

Idk about the 2.0 but on the 2.4 the stock flexpipe is a little bit short.

Maybe even the ones the aftermarket guys are still a bit short.

The car does have a bit of bodyroll, so maybe that's why.. they're wearing down? I mean he's catless - so it'd have to be either that or from engine travel..

That is a really clean break though.. maybe that through-tubing isn't made very well.
