Exclamation Attention Ss/sc Owners With Corsa Sport....

All you cobalt ss/sc owners with the corsa sport exhaust, did you guys notice that it leaks around the clamps. I've tightened up the clamps multiple times and it still leaks. Just wanna know how many of you have welded it and if you seen any difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

weld it in, clamped exhausts suck. what happenes if a clamp breaks or something when you're 200 miles away from home.... or better yet what happens if one breaks when you're close to home. i bet you don't carry an extra one around with you in the car lol

you could tighten it yourself, or get it welded. if you have to pay to get it tightened, don't waste your money. get a wrench and give it a good twist. but i agree with ^^ the clamps don't really do so good of a job.

there's a simple test for exahust leaks... all you need is a friend... one of you hold you hand over the exhaust tip so that the airway is blocked, and someone else feel around the clamps for leaks... you of course want to do this when the car is cold, otherwise be prepared for a nasty burn if you touch a hot exhaust

I am fairly certain that this is pretty universal. If you have a bolted up exhaust, it could leak.

Where is the leak? At the CAT? before or after the resonator?
All of the above?

Just curious.

and just so everyone knows, after installation, and after a few hundred miles, you should ALWAYS check to make sure that the bolts are tightened like they should be... new bolts that are easy to take off and put on sometimes rattle loose from the extra vibration. anyone with a wrench can do this, just tighten the ****** if it's loose

I used my clamps, checked them a few days after the install and have had no problems yet... I'll keep an eye on them though
