Stage kits
Just ordered a 2007 SS/SC. Didn't order any aftermarket parts with it, but plan on adding somethings after I get. I know there's a LONG thread on here for the stage kits, but just want to get a quick answer... Are these stage kits something you have to install in order, or could I just buy Stage 2 and not bother with 1? Also I heard there's a Stage 3 but didn't see anything about it on GM's website. Anyone know anything about it? Thanks!

The dealer can install it for you and will warranty the work (just like any other installation).
The Stage 2 kit includes a smaller pulley, injectors & a new reflash. If you install it yourself, I'd imagine you'd have to just show proof you bought the stage 2 setup through a receipt or something and they will give you the stage 2 reflash via Tech 2.
There is a Stage 3, it just came to light. Read this for more info: http://www.ecotecforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3155

search button sucks. you can just install the stage 2 kit and not worry about 1, as longs as its not the 1 to 2 kit. make sure it has injectors with it. you have to have the stage 2 to do stage 3 though. stage 3 is a smaller pulley, new pcm with 2 modes. normal mode is like stage 2, the other mode allows you to run 110 octane gas, turns off your a/c, and some other crap that i cant remember

(*cough* 100 octaine) to make it more simple, stage 2 consists of all the stage 1 parts. and stage 3 is an additional setup that requires stage 2 before installation.

You don't need a stage one
