Looks good. I did Kate's black, but ditched the amber lense for the turn signal and put in an amber bulb instead, Shows more chrome.

I feel like a total newb asking this but... how exactly do you remove the headlights. I didn't try very hard last weekend but I did make an attempt and couldn't figure it out lol. Also is there a way to ditch the amber altogether ? I hate amber...

Gixxer they were custom made by another member, currently thats the only way to get them.
607 - Unbolt the bolt that goes thru the clips on top of the headlight, and pull out. You might have to undo some of the black clips that hold the top of the grill and bumper together and pull a little bit on that to get the housing out a little easier. Its the easiest yet biggest pain in the ass headlights to do lol.

What method did you use to take yours apart?
I took the bulbs out, and put a hair dryer up to the back of the bulb housing where the opening is, and I heated it up until it got hot all over. Then I used a flat head screw driver to start to wedge the lense from the housing then I kept heating the sealant up directly with the hair dryer as I went around prying it apart slowly. It takes about 20 mins to get them off. The once you get the housing off use the screw driver and the hairdryer to heat up the residual sealant (there is a lot) and scrape it out little by little til you got 80-90% of it out. Then just take all of the amber lenses out and the reflectors and all apart. mask off the portions you dont want to paint and use a gloss enamel spray, nothing special and spray about 2-3 good light coats about 15 minutes apart.

I then reassembled the housings with a good amount of BLACK CAULK (looks better than white, clear would work too)

I opted not to put the amber turn lenses back in, and then put an amber bulb in in the clear bulbs place.

Pretty simple, but VERY time consuming.

I SO want to do this to my car. If I do I'll probably buy a set of headlights on ebay so I can take my time and do it. Since I'll be in my new house with a two car garage next week I'll have some room if I decide to tackle this. Every time I see a car on here with the black lights I like the look more.

Those lights look sweet man. Damn I need to make some time to do this. I took my headlight vinyl tint off and the car looks retarded without them. Visibility improved though.

I used a heat gun for mine. And you can leave the amber light out of the corner if you want to. Just put an amber bulb back in.

Here is a pic of how mine turned out....not a great pic, but a pic.

I had a tint film on my headlights from HeadlightArmor.com The only problem was that they didn't do crap for nighttime visibility.
