Horrible Performance in Wet Weather

I've been working overnight remodeling one of our local Staples stores and yesterday morning at about six thirty I went to start my car to go home and all of the moisture on the ground and on the car was frozen. Now when I started the car it idled normal for about one minute then it got a real lopey idle and the rpms went from 500-2000 and would stall randomly. I shut the car down and restarted it and had the same problem, once it was warmed to around 100 I blipped the throttle a little bit and it evened out after some WOT revs. I then figured ok time to go home -- I got on the highway and went around the on-ramp and the car started to sputter ( I had just put ten gallons of gas in the car ) so I put it in neutral and gave it a rev, it sputtered and then the entire back of my car light up with flames like nothing I've ever seen. After that the car ran perfectly fine.

Any ideas, I just installed Stage 2 and have put 1000+ successful miles on it without even a stutter and now the car won't go if it's wet????

No check engine lights. Yea, it's the first time the car ever shot a flame that light up the entire back of the car. Usually it's pretty small but this time it was the size of the back of the car I could see it in the rearview.

Ok, now I have a worse problem. I went to start the car and I know nothing is frozen on the car but it still idles horrible almost like the intake/maf is totally off of the car. I'm starting to think I might have a bad mass air sensor.

Heres my .02. Take the MAF out and try some MAF cleaner, you should be able to get it at a local auto parts store, if that doesn't work, take it to the dealer!

That's what my next step was, it's about 29 degrees outside though so I'm going to save it for tomorrow. What do you suggest for cleaning the MAF or is there special MAF cleaner?

This kinda stuff just pisses me off when **** randomly goes bad with your car. When I put the stage 2 on the car it ran perfect I have no idea why this would just up and start to go.

BTW ReMz, this car is a reconstruct I don't have a warranty!! So this is even worse of a problem cuz I know the MAF is at least 399 if I had to guess.

Appreciate the suggesstion, I'm going to see if I can find something locally at a parts store or see if they have it a dealership and are willing to sell it to me. If it's less then twenty bucks I really can't go wrong and I'll give it a try.

I can't take the time to order anything though because this is my only car and I have to keep going to work and keep all of that stuff going.
