We are still in the works with JBP's cams, so we are not at the point where we could say that there are problems or not as of yet. We should find out very soon though, hopefully. I do know that some have gone with custom ground cams, but it is all in your preference.

Crateenginedepot.com also has something on there about performance cams from GM, but I have yet to get a straight answer on if we can use em on our rides.

I think so far there are no GOOD cams out yet. Pretty much you have to get custom cams made

get a custom cam ground....use the EVO 270 and get shims. Then get valves and port the head. Pistons and rods would be good also. Which leads to the crankshaft.

Guess we'll see what goes down with JBP's cams. If that falls through, I will be lookin into GM's cams and seeing if they work and if not, maybe some custom grinds. Gotta get this beast ready for the summer and smokin some Imports an Crustangs.

thats all well and good, but you cant just throw in cams. you need to do exhaust work to get the air out fast enough to need cams. do a little research before you start with internals

this is the JPB cams thread: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...ght=edubs+cams

This is pretty much your only option right now. Any cams by the major cam companies (Crane,Crower,Comp, etc.) are made for the 2.2 eco and will not work with the 2.0, including the GM Performance ones. JBP makes a set of base circle regrinds but they don't seem to be working successfully in any cars as of yet.

Oh and the ported head, in the 1000hp 2.2 build book there is a CNC lsj compatible head that GM sells that you could pick up. part XGH something or another. They won't sell to the general public but its not hard to get around that.
