dual areoforce shutting off while driving.

this started yesterday, the display on the gauges will go blank randomly with a thin yellow line goin across the gauge, when i shut the car off and start it back up it kicks back on, the add a fuse circuit is connected to the spare in the fuse box, maybe this is the issue and it has to be relocated?? anyone else run into this lil set back?
any help would be appreciated, thanks.

no one has had this wierd issue?...

I've never had the problem. Mine is hooked into the power wire for the stock gauge.

Before you change anything, wait until the gauges shut off, then get out of the car and test the fuse with a volt meter to see if the gauges are still getting power. That will tell you if your problem is in the power supply or the gauges themselves.

Happens to me all the time, the guy at Aerofroce told me our cars have really bad power serges that cause it. I seems like everytime I hit my power window switch it happens, then I just reach down and unplug it from the OBD2 port and plug it back in. If tried multiple power sources and they all do it. Although I haven't tried the stock boost gauge power wire.

I wonder how we can stop it? Think a relay wired right off the battery and then a remote wire to make the relay power up the gauge would work?

thats wierd... ive had it on for about 3 weeks now, no problems here. i used the power from the stock gauge.

try using a different fuse. the spare might not be through out enough volts?

Mine's worked fine for close to a year and then all of a sudden within the last two weeks it goes on and off every once in awhile. I've got it powered off the stock boost guage wire.

The funny thing is that I can still barely make out the numbers in the daylight and if it's at night there's a dim glow from the gauge, so obviously it is getting some power and the data.

just thought id bring this from the dead, mase and I had the alternator off when we were doin the dual pass yesterday, i disconnected the interceptors and battery, when we hooked everything back up the gauges would shut off every 10 min, for about an 45 min, after the car saw about 14.1 voltage it got better but i see it spiking every so often and thats when one or both of them usually shut off, has anyone figured a concrete way to prevent this from happening, no matter what setups, some people are still running into issues like myself and some are perfectly fine...?? wierd, also i have been disconneting and reconnecting them when this happens, is there a risk of possible damage?
