i went to gould chevy in monticello,mn to get oil changed and to get the erractic idle problem fixed. i found the service buliten for this on this site and printed it out and gave it to the dealer. he looked at it and said you cant belive what you find on the coumputer.iagain told the morron this is what my car dose and i want it fixed today.
he looks at me say you cant have your car looked at when ever you feel like it. i turned to him and said look buddy im going to mess around with warranty work with you like i did on my last car,so do what i tell you to do right f--kin now on get me the gm of the store.then another guy comes over and saya i'll take over for you. it'll be about an hour sir. 1 hour later guy comes out and said we fixed the problem go pay your bill. no sorry sir you were right or anything. i go to the cashier and she says that be $46.00 sir , i said for what warrenty work a free oil change ? she said there charging you for half a oil change sir. i said get that idot back out here , he comes back out and said look we don't give free mobile 1 oil changes here i said look buddy when i bought the car from here they gave me this coupon for buying the car. it dose not say you get half a free oil change it stats you get 1 free oil change . the get gets pissed and walks away

they also told me aftermarket parts void the warrenty and they would put that on my notes of the car. i said first it dose not void the warrenty sso i'll take that up with you next time pal.

you gotta watch these dealer close

yah for my free oil change the cashier at my dealership was like "well were trying to figure out how much you need to pay since they used Mobil 1 instead of conventional for your oil change" I said nothing, its the specified right on the top of the oil cap to use Mobil 1 and also in the owners manual so you guys pay for it. "oh"

Also with the aftermarket parts, all you have to say is prove it, most of the time they cant even mae up an excuse that makes sense

 

Damn dealers. My dealer won't check my timing chain even though its making strange sounds sometimes. I told him thats fine, you don't want to take care if it now but you better put a note in my file in the computer. So he did, the note read, could not duplicate a problem the owner says the car has. He said the car makes a strange noise in the motor. We could not duplicate it at this time. End of note. So another words they just do not want to deal with it at the time. I told him, thata fine, when the chain breaks and ***** up major things with my car they can just end up spending more cash later since my car is under warnity for 75k.

 

I agree with your statement.
Someone walks up ands starts swearing at me to get what they want and they aren't going to get much of anything good.

 

1st off i did not walk into the dealer swearing and cussing all i wanted is what i told themwhat i wanted done for my appointment.
this is the same dealer that also lost my car for two weeks for 4 touch ups and a new seat that they took out of another car.
so say what you want but i'm not going to get screwed by some morron that sould be working there or telling me i can't get my car worked on when i want

as someone who works at a dealership, i would of told you very calmly that perhaps you should try another dealership.

 

I agree, I work in service and sales. The second a customer starts swearing at me I tell them to call someone else, get in my truck and leave. People deal with a lot a **** in the service industry and there is no need to treat them like ****. All it takes is to calmly explain the problem.

thaks for the imput on my issue but i didn't walk in swearing like some of you idots can't understand. i thought we were all on the same page but mybe not . i must have miss understood that if you have a problem they should fix it but i might be wrong. but if i pay for warrenty then its my right .

wow good job dude... you pissed off the service manager.,.. you my friend are not getting anymore warranty work... **** like that don't fly and any aftermarket part on your car GM WILL void your warranty.... trust me on that one. You can argue all you want, just better hope that guy (who had to listen to a kid yell at him) decides to maybe be nice about it and not write down you have aftermarket parts on your car. If not my friend, you are screwed.
Maybe next time you won't be such an ******* to the people that work on your car.

Few life lessons for you:
1) always take care of the people that bring you beeer
2) always take care of the people that bring you food
3) Never ever **** off your mechanic, cause you never know what they will "find" wrong next time

That **** sucks big time. My friend's mom runs the Chevy dealership here and when I bought my intake they said that AEM doesn't make one for it. So I asked them what was put into my friends car, just happened to be in the shop. Pulled the parts number and hooked me up, plus discount. They never said anything about voiding my warranty. As long as I dont touch my headers or any mods to the engine itself I'm good. But since my friend had lowering springs it would have been voided but some how they let that one slip...hmm? lol.

buddy regardless of if you have warrenty or if you are paying for the work, if you walked in and told me "Heres my car, I expected this and this to be done!" then when the cash office makes a mistake cause they don't know everything in the world you give them lip.
I'd tell you to take your buisness elsewhere because sorry to break it to ya NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR BUISNESS! Especially when its just warrenty work!
My dealer gave me 5 free oil changes and then tries to tell me I had to pay for the full syn oil, I just calmly went and talked to the service manager and voilla free oil.
TREAT PEOPLE HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED!!!

he just told us what happened at his dealership and sure it may have been a strong way of doing it, but you guys fought with him together. so is everyone banned? 2 to tango.

I drive a mazda, and mazda dealerships are also a joke. You gotta show that you dont take any crap or any runaround, or else they will run you over and out the door before you know what hit you. I even had my mazda dealership tell me to "dent" my own door.
