it seems to me that the head lights on a SS/SC look different then the LS... If they are... are the SS/SC lights not as bright or is the housing different? i can't quite figure it out but looking at pictures

 

I think all the Cobalts have the same headlights. I know in 07 they just removed the plastic part that covered the turn signal.

I just recently noticed the difference from my 05 LS and my 07 SS/SC. It's the lens over the park/turn bulb. My LS has an amber lens that covers the main park/turn bulb but my SS/SC does not. It uses an amber bulb with no lens.

The SS headlights have always been different from the LS/Base lights. I forget how they are different tho. I think the SS ones are slightly darker.

 

Yeah, the SS ones have a little tint to them.

 

ss/sc ones are tinted slightly darker than the other balts

 

Mine don't look like those ss/sc ones. Mine have the amber around the turn bulbs.

 

The pursuits, at least the new ones, also have the slightly tinted headlights without the amber reflector.

 

That's odd. My 07 headlamps looks like the red one in the pic. No amber lens with an amber bulb. I wonder if it's an 07 thing.

See thats what i thought... the lights on the ss/sc looked darker, and not as clear as other models. I like my lights more then i like the ss/sc lights

 

I've never noticed a difference. My were blinging bright and I hated it...so maybe some have the darker headlights and some don't on the SS/SCs. Mine were definitely super bright with zero tint to them.
