My 2.2 litre 5 speed has too many rpm on the clock at speed. 3000 at 80 mph is a little high in flat country. Are there any other gears available?

 

if the rpms are lower, the engine my struggle to keep speed i'd suspect. The cars that cruise at low rpms are torquey powerful engine. My camaro was at 2k rpms at 90mph.

if you did find gears, you would probably take a hit in the acceleration deparment.

 

Yes no surprises there but it's got enough torque to pull some taller gears.
