Debaged and some issues

I debaged my Chevy badge on the deck lid and I am seeing a haziness to the paint where the badge used to be. I can not feel any residue left behind. I used McGuire's scratch remover to see if that helped. Also waxed that section. There seems to be something fogging up the clear coat.

Any ideas on how to remove it? Should I try a clay bar? Anyone else experience this?

I had the same problem, but the scratch remover cleared it up. I did 3 applications. Not sure what else you should try.

What did you use to remove the badge?? I pulled mine off by hand, and rolled all the tape of by hand then used bug & tar remover to get the glue off. Then about 4 layers of wax and it looks fine. You can see small scratches in the clear if you look at it from the side, but only if you know where they are.

i used a heat gun to soften the glue, then used fishing line to slice through it. then rolled the glue off by hand. I will have to try bug and tar remover, then a few more applications of McGuire's scratch remover. Then maybe a few more coats of wax. Thanks for the ideas.

If it wasn't 30 degrees out again... Two days ago it was 70 and sunny.

Goodluck bro. Maybe its the black car. Mine is yellow, so i guess I couldn't see the haziness like that.

I've debadged 5 Cobalts. Take a high speed buffer to it with some polishing compound. If you don't have or know anyone with a buffer and experience, take it to your local detail shop and have them hit that spot for you.

If its dark, hit it with an orbital buffer and some wax after the high speed buff, to take out swirls.
