I was gonna buy a new 07 coblat but when i was at chevy they had an 06 cobalt exactly wat i wanted sunroof speakers etc and only has 8130. they were only gonna give me 1500 off so i figured id buy a new 1. Im goin tommorow mornin to look at it again and if i can try and get 3-4K off im gonna buy it. is there anything i should really look at be4 i buy it. Thanks alot

 

makes sure the car has not been beat. Ride it, check the clutch and makes sure its smooth with a good engagment. Pop the hood makes sure the pully hasent been messed with etc. Get a report on the car, see if it been in any wreck, and check the report to makes sure it was taken care in terms of oil change, services, etc. Check it good, its sucks to get a lemon.

 

A carfax report will only tell you if there has been an insurance claim on the vehicle. As long as someone pays for repairs out of pocket, it never shows up on a report. A carfax report is jsut a guide. It will not definitively tell you if it has been in a collision. And so what if it has been? As long as it was repaired properly, it won't matter.

 

extremly true. but i would never buy a car if its been in a wreck. Made that mistake once, never again.
