Are the only cobalts that have the lsd equiped with the racard seats or are there others? what would be the part of vin that would represent the g85 package???

 

Only SS/SCs with the G85 package have it. In 05 and 06 that means they came with Recaros. A select few from 07 also came with Recaros, but now Recaros are not available. Quickest way to tell is to look on the tranny, there will/should be a sticker that says "LSD". Or I believe there's an RPO code in the trunk, but I do not know offhand what it is.

 

Not in the Vin, just the RPO sticker in the trunk. Generally the Recaros mean it has the lsd. It is possible to special order the car to have the LSD with the normal seats and probably visa versa. I know someone on the site has the color matched seats with the LSD.

My guess is you found one at the dealer, and you want to make sure they aren't trying to scam you with the recaro seats, but no lsd.

If you're looking for an 07 one, look for 'Limited Slip Differential' on the window sticker.

 

You can look in the trunk and find the sticker that has all the product codes on it to be sure. Look for the code G85. The G85 package comes with the LSD and Recaro seats for everything before 07 I'm pretty sure. I think 07 they got rid of the Recaro seats...
