Those of you who did valve springs

I'm going to be buying some valve springs soon along with a bunch of other crap....But I wanted to know, you guys who have upgraded valvetrains, what else did you buy besides the valve springs themselves?

Is it necessary to buy these items as well? Or can I just switch my vavle springs

Locks
Retainers
Spring Seats
Valves

It will depend on the springs you get. Some allow you to use the stock retainers and locks. Others require new ones. Ferrea for instance requires you to use their locks and retainers due to the dual coil design. The seats are used optionally to increase the spring load. You wouldn't need those. I replaced my valves as well, but that's up to you.
