Anybody else have this happen to them???

Ok i was at a stop light today and I got the advance green, i turned the corner and just got into 2nd and the next light turned yellow so i slowed down. Anyways my car chugged then it stalled. I started it back up and it chugged and stalled. Finally got it going and started driving not thinking anything and a couple mins later I looked down at my speedo cause I passed a cop and I was doing 60 km/h and my rpm's were at 0. Stopping, going, different speeds, the RPM woudln't move. My speedo was moving, my boost gage was moving. I got home, shut off my car and started it back up and the rpms are moving again. Any clue as to what the heck that caused that, should I be worried and has anyone else ever had this happen, i've never heard or had it happened to me, thanks everyone.

no but really never heard of it. if it's still stock I'd call that wierd or a bad case of gas. you could always take it in and tell the dealer what happend.

Well to tell you the truth you should be worried because that is pretty bad. But before going to the dealer i would disconnect the battery first for 5-10 minutes and then plug it back in and start her up. If you still have the problem take it to the dealer right away.

Edit: NVM i read the end of ur post wrong. I thought everything was jumping agian.

I notice you have an aftermarket head unit, anything else modified in your electrical system? These cars have a very well thought out electrical system using CAN Bus technology, everything talks to everything.

nope im pretty sure i didn't wash it. And it hasn't happened to me again. I did call my dealership and talked to a buddy of mine who's a mechanic and he checked the GM computer and it said "customers may experience gages that don't function temporarily", requires a reflash so next time i'm in i'm gonna get a reflash done on it.
