Hey guys,

Just recently I have noticed that after coming to a complete stop, after a couple of seconds when i go to put it into 1st gear, I can feel a knock in the clutch pedal( very faint but enough to notice), and I can hear outside a clunking/mechanical sound as it it engaging into first. It is very annoying and can't be normal. Can anyone out there help me with this. I am going to the dealer tommorrow so I would like to have some type of idea of the problem so I can tell the dealer. Could be the linkage? maybe the clutch grabbing? Fluid levels? Plus I keep blowing the AMP FUSE so no sound out of my stereo. Bullshit! Anyone encounter these issues?

 

ya I posted the same question two days ago. Some people said they have it and its normal. Another guy said he busted his diff. a couple weeks later. Mine does it maybe 1 outa 7 shifts into first from neutral. I had my bud in the car and he drives a JEEP TJ and says his does that as well sometimes. I donno, think I might get it checked out just the same. I love my ride to much to let some bad happen to it.

 

i don't feel anything in the clutch but with the windows down i can hear it when i shift into first from a stop. just like u said its like a little clinking noise. i don't think its anything to be worried about
edit i have a 2.2 though so maybe idk what i'm talking about. idk the difference between the 2 transmissions

 

I have this as well from neutral to first and it feels like the linkage, I dont think its anything to worry about 18,000 miles and no problems yet.

 

Yeah same prob 19000 miles and no problems. Don't worry about it, but if you want go check it out.
