The tune is already rich; with higher airflow you will utilize a bit more of the unused fuel. So it will run just as rich, but will be a slightly better match for your setup.

It will make more boost, that is all. You must then compensate by purchasing larger injectors so they won't be straining so much. It will be faster if you set it up right.

The tune is rich, period, no matter what injectors. The only way you would go lean with the 2.79" and stage II would be heavy loss in fuel pressure, broken injector etc. etc. Even with the larger injectors you will still need to go get a new tune as a MAF tries to compensate for whatever condition it sees. With MAF systems a rich tune is a rich tune.

If you measured the exhaust with a wideband 02, yes there would be a higher oxygen content than before the 2.79" pulley, but it would be maxing out your fuel system.

I'm fairly new to this specific car man; so I'm going on past experience with forced induction. From what i've heard you could use a 2.9" to get a little more power without changing anything from the Stage II, but no one guarantees that it will work great.

dont run a 2.8 with a stage 2 kit unless you are at high elevation.

2.9" is the safe way to go.

thats the simple response.

I would go with the stage II pulley unless I changed some other components, but you'll probably be okay either way.

That is what it boils down to; but seeing some of the datalogs on the stage II injector duty cycle, it looks to me that the only safe route is changing to a larger injector. But, it seems that the members with setups similar to yours rarely complain about major problems so, I guess it's fine.

yeah, I have the stage 2 with the CA 2.79" pulley and am loving it...but larger injectors would be nice to have. This is kind of pushing it, but still no problems, but if you go with a smaller pulley, you need bigger ones. But I honestly think that you will be fine...because I am **** about keeping this car in tip top shape and making sure to not "abuse" its components too much...lol

i went with the zzp2.9 with the stage 1 injectors.. you can go to 2.8 put your really putting extra stress on the car and maxing out the injecotrs that is not neccessary for the little extra power and boost gain. the gm tune is horrible, you ever look at it through hptuners???? they barely change anything on the stock tune

if gm gives warrenty on it there still a business people, there gonna make it so it benefits them the most just like a casino. Your still gonna be running really rich and there still robbing horsepower and torque with the "STAGE 2 TUNE". The fact is they do change it, but slightlty. Get hptuners and hit me up for the right tuned.. im barely running a little rich and im putting out 251whp with 2.9, 42.5 injectors and air box mod with about 50 extra changes and mazimum power outputs throughout gears and rpm ranges

holla!

I will definately hit you up for good tune though man! thanks for the offer!
