HID Woes...elp?

So I took out my HID bulbs and reverted back to stock bulbs and wiring for the winter, but I left my ballasts and ignitors mounted in the engine bay. They weren't low to the ground, they were mounted right below the headlight cradle. Earlier this week, I went to reinstall the bulbs, and I realized the driver side doesn't work. I checked the bulbs on the passenger side, and they both work.

So, how do I test the ignitor/ballast?? Should I just buy a whole new kit?

1. I didn't know if it was bad for the bulbs
2. I needed to take them out to pass inspection

There is a ground right behind the drivers side headlight.. you will see a bolt in the framing area right behind the light... there is something grounded to it already, just loosen that bolt and toss your ground in with the other
