I've done 153mph myself..........Then it got kinda hairy...so i backed off,although i don't think it had much more..We have a old airport with 6000+ ft of runway.We go out and mark it off in 1000ft sections(with the exception of the 1/4 mile).Plus with friends in law enforcment we have use of radar guns.The (153mph was only on my dash,not the gun)

I've had them clock me at 172mph in my stang gt(dash runs out at 150)

I got mine limited at 145 or so on the expressway, wouldn't go any higher

 

then u need to fidles with the ECU im gunna take a class in college on the ecu diagnostics so i can get the most hp outa a car W()()T!

to be accurate you need a radar gun. Speedos are not the most acurate at such high speeds. But you know that!

Must have one serious Mustang to go 172mph. I would guess 450hp or more.

It's a 01 gt,cai,exhaust,reflashed ecu,injectors,pullies,tb,upper plenum,3.73 gears,&a 125shot of nitrous.The top end run i did was just done all motor,no bottle. I was wanting to see how far i could stretch it out.what a rush
