Transformers the movie
I am really wanting to see the new transformers movie, only thing i disagree with is making bumblebee a camaro, if he isnt gonna be a volkswagon beetle they should have made him a smaller car like the yellow cobalt ss/sc. that would be awesome
obviously as you can tell by my name on here im a huge transformers fan and honestly this entire movie is being done wrong, they are not making this movie for the loyal fans
Theres too much of a human element in this movie, nobody goes to see a transformers movie for the humans, they should be a very minor part of the movie.
As far as the characters this is my biggest gripe, when you think of optimus prime theres a certain look in your head that you expect and the bastardization that they are calling optimus prime is a disgrace, think of it this way
Would you go to spider man 3 and expect to see him in a green and yellow costume with different powers than that of spider man, no of course not, you expect red and blue.
Optimus should be a red truck with a flat front end, not the type of truck they are using and they have it as a blue truck with red flames, this looks nothing like optimus prime
Megatron looks nothing like he's supposed to either, he should be a silver gun, or a green tank, no they have him as a flying astriod
Bumblebee as a camaro - totally wrong, if they wanted a camaro in the movie so bad, call it Sunstreaker that would have been a better fit
I know that I will go see this movie reguardless but I'm already disappointed in it and it will never be 1/10th as good as the original 1986 movie. Visually im sure it will be amazing but thats the only good thing about this movie. If they wanted it to be a transformers movie they should have had someone write and direct it that had a clue about the genre.

God I remember I loved the cartoon, but damn I don't remember any of the details. I barely remember any of the names besides of course optimus. Some of them ring a bell but that was so long ago. Previews look great though. I started tivoing the cartoons yesterday so I can see if I remember any of it. It'll probobly be really corny now. I loved the dukes of hazard and I started watching some of the episodes again and I was like how the hell was I so addicted to this. Must have been Daisy Duke.

While I understand where your coming from.....they know that in truth there are very few "Loyalists" to the transformers brand like you would expect from marvel comic titles.
you cannot compare it to something like spidey, where the fans are far and wide, and froth at the mouth with any imperfections.
They know people remember transformers....but most dont remember it to the die hard extent that you do. and will either not even notice.....or forgive spielburg some license to work with things.
the fact is most of us grew up watching the toons, and with spielburg making it, i know he will do a good job.
regardless of whether its "true to the original"

i got the auto bots on mine lol i was really hoping that bumble bee would be the Yellow ss/sc because i have one but i guess not either way the movie is going to be great
